I think the right word would be "nostalgic" (the feeling of having strong memories) instead of "melancholic" (the feeling of being sad and disinterested)

I don't know Japanese so I won't change it, just in case the Japanese word actually does translate to "melancholic", but "nostalgic is definitely a better word for this situation

Thanks, this is probably closer to the word I'm looking for, I will change it... Would 'sentimental' make sense also?

Sentimental . . . yeah, I'd say that works. Oftentimes sentimentality comes with some very deep emotions but not always. I've heard it used in a more casual way before so yeah, I think sentimental makes sense.

Thanks, by the way, for the translations. You're awesome!

It makes me want to get out the hero action figures I played with a long time ago!
    I know what you mean♪
I had a fortune-telling book that I read when I was little... I wonder if it's still at my parents' house~
Nana still has a toy magical girl wand from back then!
Ah, but it looks kind of retro since Planet Usamin takes a while to receive Earth TV broadcasts
Well, after that I did give my doll a toy gun!
I had a toy kitchen set and a dress-up doll back then, too... I'd like to go looking for those sometime...
    Huh- what
Why are you all giving me that look?
It's not like I'm proud of it! But just because I look like this now doesn't mean I didn't like normal girl's stuff when I was a kid!
Ah, I'm kinda relieved to hear that!

    Cinderella Girls Theater

劇場第1280『小さい頃遊んだおもちゃ』 Theater Episode 1280 - Toys We Played With as Little Kids
This play... has a great story! Is this what you would call? A 'nostalgic' feeling...?
