It could be argued that an "ri" could just as easily be translated as an "li," and that Malissa would be a more thorough translation into english. I'd probably pronounce it ri, but until or unless an official translation comes forth it isn't worth bothering over.
There's no use making a distinction until the author or other rights holder comes out and says how to spell it in english. Just keep in mind that both make sense and sound the same.
No matter whose attack that looks like, Fate san still kicks ass. Hong Meiling was patched into Touhou (officaly) I would suggest that it could be possible to add Fate and Nanoha into the game as well? and while we are at it, maby the Rozen Maiden dolls too? Now if some one could only draw the game art...
Marisa/Marrissa/Malissa from IaMP (we all understand who i'm referring to here right?) kick ass! her 2nd beam attack is a killer (3/4 of HP), and i believe it's the only one that chains the spell gauge. but now i kinda have to disagree on the look alike factor. only thing that look alike is the beam (and even that have a difference, MK's is of rainbow color, not to mention the starting points of the beam are different)
As an avid fan of both, NAnoha and IaMP, I wholeheartedly agree. Adding them would be far better than swapping them for other characters. Actually, if I had do to do it based on their moves and such I'd say Nanoha would be a better Marisa. Signum and Youmu, Arf and Meiling, Chrono and Sakuya, Zaphira and Suika (not as powerful tho), Hayate and Reimu, Fate and Patchy... This is getting difficult. Tho I think a Nanoha fighter would fit better as that other touhou fighter. The one that plays like Psychic Force. Only make it better:)
you have to admit... that is pretty hard. the makers of Touhou may not do this, but yet, if someone could like compile a game set like Eternal Fighter Zero (put Kanon/Air/other characters) and then just mod it that WOULD be pretty nice. But a hell of a hard time. I'd like to see the Touhou makers make a doujin game completlely basing characters from shows such as this and maybe put some other anime characters in there too like Haruhi Suzumiya... LOL Yuki and her God-like powers
