Are they really going for that gun joke thing after all? Hell with all the school and church shootings I think they want to avoid it like the plague.
I thought they would be more poetic in their choice and have Sword, Shield and Pen. That pen being mightier than the sword saying.

I know THIS picture is only a fake fan creation. It is kinda tradition that when a new game is announced everyone with a tiny bit of artist in them tosses out Fakemons left and right. I mean the anticipated third game to Sword and Shield? People and sloppy news feeds are already latching on to the Pokemon GUN idea. i would not be the first time people went "Its real! People joked that the Sword legendary would literally be Sif the Great Grey Wolf (from Dark Souls).

I have a feeling that rather than another weapon, the third would be based on magic instead. So perhaps a staff.
