Umm, literally every tag involving her is labeled 1girl.

Canonwise, it's revealed in the first half of the series.

I checked the Twitter post and there's nothing that indicates the artist intended to depict her as a boy.

Then how come that doesn't apply to almost every other post under the tag.

An androgynous tag I can understand, and in some of the oldest posts, it's even 1other, but just about every other post is 1girl.

It appears they did. Not much point in the anonymity when you make it blatantly obvious you're sore about a very specific recent argument.

Regarding the 1 boy tag 1 girl tag and tag what you see argument. There was another series recently that had a reveal halfway through the series that a character's gender was not what people had assumed. This lead to a brief tag war where the mods ended up siding on the side that the previously tagged gender should remain despite the in show revelation. This was done both for spoiler reasons and because said character seemed to identify more as that gender. This show, on the other hand, is base on a very old property so not sure how well the spoiler argument would hold.

@cokerpilot If you're referring to hoshikawa lily, it was made very clear that the decision in that case applied only to that case. It was an exception to the rule that in no way changes how that rule is otherwise applied.

I'm curious how that came about, understanding it's an exception obviously. I'd imagine the spoilers have something to do with it.

@iridescent_slime Really? I wasn't aware of that. It honestly made sense to me because unless you knew that said character was a boy or the picture went out of its' way to point it out one would naturally tag them as a girl. Not applying that ruling to other characters that you would naturally assume gender without having an outside context to know differently seems to go against the Tag what you see rule. Can you link me to where they made this clear?

If I were to guess, it's because of the spoiler nature of it, the fact the character heavily identifies as female (which is much more than most otoko no ko characters who merely have the traits), the fact the character is identified as female in all promotional materials, and the general theme of the episode in question.
Compared to other characters, Lily is a special case, and I can't think of a similar situation.
I think the general rule of the site is canon takes precedence over TWYS otherwise, if only for practical reasons.
