There is money to be made with this franchise. Why don't they make an anime based on these strips? >_<

Why haven't they made a vocaloid anime full stop. It's halfway there already.

Because while Hatsune Mix and Vocaloid itself are very good, an anime would most likely fail. Horribly. Not much to go off of with the 6 characters they have available. Soon to be 7.

And the popularity of Vocaloid stems from the fact that they sing popular anime and video game songs, in an anime they would be severely limited, unless of course they made up some brilliant material.

The other choice could be to go the Idolmaster way and completely change the plot and setting and turn it into some kind of action/fighting/mecha show.

Or go the Macross route and have music provide massive powerups, though that might cause the Vocaloids to become supporting characters instead of main characters.
