That alone wouldn't bring about a change so instantaneous. It's cold in Antarctica even when the sun is shining, after all. I suppose that Kirby's had some adventures where all it takes is walking through a door to change the seasons (although that implied you were going to an alternate version of the same place during another time of year, as opposed to walking into a doorway putting you in the same place but instantly changing the weather for everyone else)...

Kirby's heavily implied to be a reincarnation of chaos itself. i wouldn't put it past him to literally radiate enough heat to change the climate around him :p
though it might be more likely that Pop Star's climate is different from that of Earth's or Zebe's
Even standing on the peak of Everest doesn't kill you instantaneously if you don't have oxygen tank. Assuming the atmosphere wasn't extremely corrosive and toxic, it's plausible that Samus could afford to breathe Popstar's atmosphere for a few minutes to greet Kirby.
