Maybe because when an architect (less experienced) is thinking about a building, they may creative block based on a lot of things they learnt during their education, which is both restraining and self doubt.

Remember that it was originally 2 rooms for 4 people.(Italia/Roma, Pola/Zara) Everyone else came later.

Doesn't help that a lot of architects I know prefer modern architecture which is objectively ugly by human standards
