Ah, the joy and frustration of manually rewinding your mixtape because your Walkman ran out of batteries. Putting this in the Nostalgia pool for that reason.

Spinning the cassette using the pencil inserted into the holes works faster.

The main problem was when you applied so much force that the tape tore from the bobbin. My dad used a lot of audio cassettes when audio recorder and video cameras used them and, oh boi, it was a dread situation when that happened.
