Played it a bit and I don't really feel as excited as when I tried KC/GFL/AL for the first time
But I still save it just in case I want to play it again
Maybe I'm too used with the collector type games where I can slack a lot
It's definitely not for everyone, and the game does get tough later on though still doable even with low rarities. There's a whole series of vids with low rarity clears which are probably better in some cases due to DP costs.
Only Azur Lane allows "Special Touch" and affinity dialogue. Not to mention a lot of lewd skins.
I have been tempted to play Azur Lane, however it is not as grind friendly as GFL IMO. With GFL I can grind without even paying attention. Plus I'm more interested in my gun waifus than my ship waifus.

A GFL vet acquaintance of mine would beg to differ who actually got into AL due to how "easier on the brain" it was compared to GFL.
"Bunny from the pharmaceutical company" I feel like there's a joke there that I'm not getting.
Also, I'm seriously trying to figure out who's worse: The military grade T-doll or the personified destroyers.
A regular T-doll is no match for a shipgirl. But M4A1 is not a regular T-doll. AL KANSENs are generally considered stronger than KC shipgirls judging from feats from both animes. They are basically KC shipgirls plus some extra superpowers. Each of the three should be able to easily stomp Amiya.

I think it largely depends on how leveled your fireteams are and how well organized they are. Like the past few events except for that one where you go in a U shape and have to time everything perfectly to avoid the military patrols, my teams just wreck everything in sight. Half the time I don't even pay attention when I play. People complain about bosses like Judge but my my loli Negev just violates everything in sight. Like again, on that one U shaped mission when you fight agent, a literal wave of bosses fight you. I didn't even realize that on my first run because I wasn't paying attention when they fought and they still brought home victory, they were all heavily damaged of course.
I should also add I'm on ENG server and from what my foreign friends tell me, ENG has it way easier than say China servers because they are trying to ram us through the content. So it might be easier because of that.
I haven't played Azur Lane but just from watching the gameplay I don't think I would have the time to do the easy modo touhou stuff. I really love the aesthetics and music though, so one day I may pick it up. I kinda doubt it though. If I do get into it, I'll probably just watch the old play through.

AL does have an auto-battle mode, though it should be used for easy battles
