    Most guys tend to not highly focus on small things like that. They will just go "Oh, she looks cute as always." with maybe slight more cuteness than usual.

    That's why you should go for the guy that still likes you when you have minimum amount of makeup. That-a-way you can be sure they likely won't get shocked when you remove the base (personality matters as well ofc)

    Either way, I had to train myself to spot those kind of things. Though I do wish that the reaction from "it looks good on you" didn't always end with them mentally going "Lets increase it more!" and go too far... it was always too far in the end...
