A mirage that makes you part of the mirage but disappears (along with you since you are part of it now) when you try to leave?

Nah it looks like serval escaped it. It seems like it links the room to another location until you use the elevator again.

"The floor where any wishes come true"

I wonder what, if anything, actually makes this floor dangerous. I would guess something like not being able to distinguish the illusion from reality and being trapped, but Serval was apparently able to just walk right out.

Maybe it's just a fun floor and the only thing stopping you from leaving is yourself.

"For any wishes, if you wish it, it will come true on this floor."

But apparently, this floor can't bring her to Savanna Area even though she wished that.

Then how does this floor make the above proposition true? #LogicalProblem

Solution: This floor makes her lose her wish.

Is this the first time she's been in that room?

    1. Stuck in the complex
    2. Remembers Savanna
    3. Tries to escape back to Savanna
    4. Finds room
    5. Gets to Savanna
    6. Forgets and leaves Savanna

Repeat ad infinitum? Also there seems to be a bit about dying repeatedly and being resurrected in a way not yet shown to us and maybe it also takes out more chunks of her memory?

As far as I remember the original wish granter in picnic at the roadside wasn't a monkey's paw, it granted your wish in a straightforward way. Its just that the wishes aren't always well thought out.

I think the two parts "to that place" and the "go home" are the key here. She wanted to leave and go back home, but she didn't specify which home. It sent her "to that place" and then had her "go home" by turning her old home into some weird place and and her current home to where she wanted to go.

There's an explanation somewhere in here. As far as I can make out, it expels your desires

According to the author twitter post, this room can grants your real wish, but in order to materialize that said wish, it has to cut-off your desire.

The author also noted that, after this event, Not-Serval now can finally sleep peacefully, no longer waking up in the middle of every night and weeping for her savannah life.

Also, the savannah is REAL and, if she stayed until the elevator closes, Not-Serval will be truely at home, not longer in the Apartment.

    So happy ending either way?

Well since she has to lose her desire for the wish to be granted, if she had actually stayed then from her perspective she would have been lost somewhere she didn't recognize, possibly resulting in her longing for her home in the apartment.

Leaving the room on the other hand seems like the best option, as she now no longer misses the Savannah. It's depressing from an outside perspective, but now she lives in blissful ignorance, I guess.

... Except, I don't think this is the first time this chain of events had happened. Remember when Raccoon met her on the stairs, missing her memories of even who she was? I'm not certain... but I think she's sort of stuck in a loop of memory loss, discovery, and remembrance.

Some of this seems akin to SCP-810, insofar as it takes away your desire for whatever it is you wish for. With some differences, of course.
