But "meet" is pretty distinctive, even if she's not sure what offline is.

Just to say, the actual word, and I know I'm jumping stuff here, means alot of things, even though its core meaning is "meet".
It can mean "a group", "an association"...

And even with "meet" as in English, is a very ambiguous word when paired with a word you don't know to form a new word.
If you learn a foreign language, you will feel it first hand.

And then, there's Saladofstones who in fact didn't know the word even after googling it.

Oh, and "meet" standing alone in English might mean something close to "competition" too, I believe. Never really checked that through though.
