Kind of, but there's no noodle spillage to be seen. It looks like the plastic container just buckled a bit as its contents shifted or it cooled from the hot water draining, and the resulting loud pop/crack startled her.
It's the metal in the sink going thoonk as it heats up from the hot water, Japan seems to use pretty thin steel.
Walls are nice and thick though. American homes have crappily thin, non-soundproofed walls as a rule, especially boomer-era houses, cos', profit and cut corners.
