Not surprising that such a young child would have great trouble understanding that dreams aren't real. But now I wonder how long it usually takes for children to comprehend that?

PS: I don't need to understand Japanese to deduce the gist of the comic. That's the power of well-done imagery; you can tell the essence of the story even without text.
