I watched the movie, but I still don't understand two things:

1. How can that giant tower stand there without falling? (I mean the wind could blow it over)
2. If the area arround it flows into another dimension where does it stand on? doesn't make sense.

Being scientifically coherent isn't the point of Makoto Shinkai's movies.
