For those not in the lore know, Gummy subconsciously stops herself from ever hitting a target three times in a row. Always hitting twice, then pausing, then twice again. This is because if she ever hits something a third time, she unconsciously puts the entirety of her (notably absurd, even for an Ursus) strength behind it. This has caused her to break cutting boards and entire counters when cooking, if she makes the 'three hit' mistake.
This is because the "strong third hit" method is a method used for breaking/cutting through bone when cooking/preparing meat. It is all but outright stated that during the Ursus takeover by Reunion, Gummy was forced to cook and eat dead classmates for her and her group to survive, giving her a number of PTSD traumas, including going feral when she gets really hungry (and even biting her teammates), being afraid of the dark because it amplifies her ferality (she sleeps with a nightlight on), and the previously mentioned subconscious block against hitting things three times in a row, even in life or death combat.
