I'm actually kinda pitying Nagato since she expects a slugging match with her ship self in-game which is highly suicidal against her peers. I mean the Twins are simply going to uppercut her with torpedoes, Nelson's going to enjoy the inferno as well as the fact she's nigh-invulnerable with the bullshit heal, Colorado's going to weather her secbat fire to get into effective range where a standard type dread CAN and WILL beat her in a slugging match and then there are the madmen on the Lyon plastering her with SIXTEEN 340's because why not.
Lets not forget Shokaku, Kaga(?), Graf Zeppelin and August von Parseval packing AP bombs, Lexington and her half-ton HE bombs, and the AP rawkits of the August von Parseval because your deck is lul

Yeah, not really.
-Nelson with huge above water citadel and forward bulkhead + 26mm nose + 380+mm guns = blown the fuck out. The heal is necessary to even stand a chance, but the reality is that against other BB of her tier Nelson is made of glass. She's an amazing cruiser bully at tier, but she folds like a literal beer can if other BBs with 380+mm guns starts shooting at her. -Colorado has minimal meaningful advantage, she's slower, covered in 26mm hull plating, her guns are no better and she has no more of them, but she's about five knots slow. About her only advantage is a somewhat harder to reach Citadel. -Scharnhorst can't do much of anything to her with her guns if she can't get a rather flat broadside, even her HE is anemic and trying to get within 6 to 8km to use secondhand or torps is dicey and situational. Geni is marginally better because her guns can overmatch parts of the armor and just penetrate better generally, but she doesn't have many of them and Nagato has 8,000+ HP over either of them. -Lyon has similiar problems, her guns are numerous, but small caliber meaning that if Nagato angles properly her capability to do damage plummets. Furthermore the angle to actually bring all 16 into action is nearly broadside and her HP pool is abysmal while her armor is unremarkable. -KGV guns are too small and she's squishy,
Bombers are legit her Achilles heel though her AA is bad, her Torpedo reduction is 'bleh', and she's covered in graduated armor to fuse AP bombs. But really people complaining about Nagato are basically complaining "I liked the good old days when the only competition was a gimped Colorado with 15,000 less HP then me and AP bombers didn't exist", it's not about whether she's competitive at tier now (she is) it's about the fact she's no long the obvious and fairly grossly superior pick at her tier.
