It’s almost a requirement for the grimdark world of Arknights.

Getting? Guin has always been there mate, it's just that its hidden with the waves of adorable he likes to toss in. Not sure if the full backstory to his Arknights guy is uploaded here or not, but I do know you can find it on his pixiv. This guy has one hell of a history.

Kal'tsit nagging about smoking but puffs one herself~

Speaking of doctors losing patients, had known an acquaintance that bawled his eyes out when he failed to save em, rambling about why they had to see the loss firsthand and Hippocrates being an asshole were a few that he blurted out when his emotions just... broke the floodgates.

It's called feminism, being a man or woman doesn't matter.

Kal'isit looks like she hasn't had sleep in days on top of watching a patient die (though not as violently as an Ori patient should, which tends to end in a gory explosion), so give her some space folks.

There is a short time before they explode. I guess they had to burn the deadbody or something.

They don't burn the deadbody. They encapsulate and freeze it to prevent Originium spread.
The standard procedure of burying an Infected is to have as many cloth wrapped arund the body and bury it as deep as you can dig to prevent the originium dust from escaping into atmosphere, burning would have even more detrimental effect than just letting it explode since you'd be releasing more fine particles to the air and let the wind current generated by convection carry it higher, thus disseminating the resulting particles on wider area.

They don't freeze them or burn them. What they do depends on who's doing the disposing. Lungmen just dumps them in the desert. Really shouldn't underestimate just how little of Terra is actually inhabited outside the mobile cities, there's plenty of room to toss an infected timebomb. Rhodes Island cremates them in a specialized chamber. Mobile cities definitely don't have the luxury of stopping every time an infected dies to dig them a deep as fuck hole.

So, like... disposing of radioactive waste?

Essentially, yes. Oripathy is essentially extremely virulent cancer on crack that spreads via airborne transmission when the deceased erupts like a fungal fruiting body releases spores.

What's worse, burying infected victims this way actually bad in the long run. You see, Originium grows rapidly by consuming the surrounding matter when they're activated. By burying the Oripathy victim you're actually priming the earth with active Originium, which will grow and eventually erupt as Originium spike/pillars which is precursor to a Catasthrope.

It's a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" scenario.
