I think Botan said she can't tolerate alcohol but dont' specified it. And i can understand since i had the same case where i can't stand alcohol if isn't in a very small dose (1/10 of a small shoots) and on winter only, yet i also find it tasteless on some case and always end up washing the taste with something like juice or soda. This is because i had a condition who was and still threaten, so the medic just told me to stay away from large exposition to tabaco smog or avoid to drink large doses of alcohol either or just simply don't drink alcohol at all. I think on Botan case its the same.

My favorite parts are when Korone went into a non-sequitur story-telling about Sazae-san, Botan-Lamy's twice impostor couple rounds and Botan proceeded to camp and drink chickens.

She was drinking Amazake I think? Really low alcohol level and there are versions that anyone can drink, even children. I love the stuff.
