It was considered too old-fashioned.

Modern style in the anime/manga scene as a whole has the characters looking a bit younger in general, compared to the 90's, doesn't it?

The new design does definitely gave me the impression she'd be more childish in comparison to her original design.

Mid's my favorite and the new one doesn't feel much like Arcueid, but we'll see.

the middle one used to be my favorite design but as ive gotten older, the design on the right has grown much more appealing. age does amazing things to ya.
