Normal torture : starve your prisoner, beat her up, rape her fluffy butt.
Awful torture : shave her awesome mane.
Hell : go out of your way to present her with these abominations.

I wish we had a pool for food blasphemies such as this. It's amazing to see the dualities of food culture.

Well, I see nothing wrong with them. She's just too picky.

I have to say that I enjoy my carbonara better with cream than with egg.

Most of the food shown doesn't seem so bad and makes me want to try it.

I think it's a joke on how Italian Chefs are very judgemental on foreign chefs trying to make Italian or Italian-inspired dishes because they're cooking it differently or use different ingredients like the Italian-American dish Spaghetti and Meatball is considered non-Italian since meatballs are never eaten with Spaghetti, the meatballs are too big and they using non-Italian cheese.

Arguably, I find only the hawaii pizza to be good (when done with actual ham and pineapple instead of cheap canned fruit and luncheon meat).

But aside from what is good/tasty and what is not, the joke here is that Italian food is so popular worldwide it saw multiple changes, and some of them are made with cheap replacements. Spaghetti? Use ketchup and meat surrogate, then pretend it's still Italian. Ice Cafe Americano? Cool name for espresso with cold water. Korean carbonara? a blob of noodles with milk and pieces of chicken breast on top. It has nothing to do with original food, yet pretends to be it for higher appeal. Think of it in terms of one's cultural identity and bootlegged brands.

Bottom line is that it's a normal phenomenon, but also can be upsetting to see your culture being marketed that way.
