That sounds a bit too cruel even for these Nuns. Also, outside of the gluttonous Nun, they haven’t really been shown to eat much meat outside of Eggs. It wouldn’t surprise me if most of them might be vegetarians or something.

Perhaps they are just raising them and selling them off. They have to make money some how.

Duck isn't that uncommon to eat, but I'd be willing to bet not wild duck.
