This one I don't understand. Can anyone please explain?
German dog tags were designed to be split in half so that if a soldier dies and their body can't be immediately recovered, half of their tag can be taken back as proof of death while the other half remains on their corpse so that if it is recovered, it can be ID'd.

I knew about splitting the dog tag, when a soldier died, but I wasn't sure what was meant in the picture. My first guess was actually that the job was so dangerous, that no one but her was going to return alive, but I needed confirmation on that. It could be, giving the artist, that it was an extremely obscure reference to something else.
