    なので、うちの家もほぼ一人の大工さんが作ってましたね。
    すごいなあと思います。

    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 3730

Because of this, even our house was built almost entirely by just one carpenter. I think it's incredible.

As a guy who has helped in building houses, I think I might start a business like that hehehehe.

There's actually nothing fantastic about it.

If anything, China has taken this to an entirely new level. Most of their new buildings, residential projects, commercial buildings and even government buildings have been constructed this way for at least the past decade or two. I doubt any other country has utilized pre-assembled construction to the extent that it has. How else do you think they managed to construct two hospitals in less than two weeks?

It's more puzzling that such pre-fabricated construction is not a global norm.

China maybe a bad example. Their concrete building do suffer to poor material thanks to systematic corruption. It might differs case by case, but one of the apartment building had their staircase fallen off trapping residents who live in upper floor.

edit: If you never seen China own building, there is a case of an apartment crumbling into mud with spray of a water that is intended to wash the building or roof being detached by typhoon like a piece of paper.

Prefabricated concrete is used here in Germany too. They built our new ambulance station in less than a month. Building a wooden house from prefabricated parts with only one carpenter on site is another thing!

Manufactured homes is how this tends to work in the US. Whole halves of homes are shipped to the plot of land by truck.

Prefabricated concrete? That is one good shit for assembly, did it pass simulation first before being fabricated? Like virtual simulation to resist weather? I want to find out.

I Want to See the Factory
    Four months later...
    Our house is finiiiished!!
They built it in no time at all, didn't they.
    Pre-cut construction:
Houses these days are made using pre-cut construction, so it goes quickly.
A construction method in which the main timbers get processed at a factory ahead of time so they just have to be assembled at the building site.
Any more detailed processing is done on site by carpenters.
    I see.
Almost all the carving is done by machine.
That's how we can offer residential housing so cheaply.
Here, I'll just hand these over.
    Yaaay!♥
