    Thank you for the translation.
I am left wondering though; what was the exchange in the beginning referring to? The magic taboo of human transmutation?

    You're welcome!

It's one of those classic "either it's left ambiguous or I very badly missed something" cases. It does seem a little too specific to be just an off-handed Fullmetal Alchemist reference. But while I'm not sure how the timeline is supposed to... line up, or how her apparent husband comes into play, I like to speculate that the human she transmuted/created was actually Risa, which would tie neatly into Risa being the only thing she has left and add a heaping of cruel irony to Mima taking the girl away from her.

So since the mother isn't really Marisa, should the tags be changed or something?

Personally, it has never been clear to me how "identical relatives" are supposed to be tagged, and I think I've seen a few contradictory answers.
Comes up a lot, especially with Reimu and Akyuu.

Hello. This is Ishikawa Spare Rib. It's been roughly a year and a half since my previous doujinshi, "The Parallel World That Loved Me". That was my first time trying something rather dark and gory, so I'm thankful to you all for being open-minded and clearing my doubts about whether I could find success drawing in that style. But so, this time's story was about Kirisame Marisa. Or rather, it ends right where "Marisa" begins. The blonde girl on the cover technically doesn't show up at all, so I kind of feel like I swindled you. I had fun picturing what life would be like for regular humans, who aren't part of Gensokyo's system like the Hakurei is, after they lose the power to fend for themselves... Marisa sure leads a dangerous existence, huh? Though in this case it wasn't Marisa, of course. Will the Hakurei shrine maiden's prayer come true, I wonder? I'm sure the answer to that is within our minds.
