Ah, okay, so the rule is simply that the highest resolution is the parent, and if there is a tie, the earliest upload is the parent?

See the bottom of help:post_relationships (Choosing the Best Parent), in this case there is no doubt about it since the Pixiv version is a pixel-perfect duplicate.
