Welp, guess XE-Shine refers to any of his powered-up gattai forms then (that don't have another name). Probably most of the 1+1 Gattais, if we go with the usual Super Robo conventions.

Edit:
Oh lookie!
That's not really uncommon in mecha genre...but it IS kinda rare in Super Robo group. For example, Gundams. In Gundams optional units rarely changes the unit/kit name, but there's exceptions in spinoffs, like in Build Series (which is nearing Super Robo anyway), where attaching an optional unit changes the Gundam's name. Most recent example would be that Core Unit Gundam from Divers Re:Rise, which assumes new form and name with each combination.

I was mostly ruminating on that because his base name is "Shine", but his name changes to "XE-Shine" when transformed. So far it seems like it's "XE-Shine" for any of the gattai'd forms, instead of just one of them. Though I suspect "XE-Shine" is only for the 1+1 Gattais, while the final ones or the Gattai + Gattai combos probably have different names like Great Shine or something. And the Busou armament equips probably get something else too.
(It's almost always "Great" + something for those ultimate and penultimate forms.)
As for the Gundam series... I guess the SEED series would be the ones most egregious with "new names for every single expack attached, even if it's just a tiny bit or a new gun."

Ah but you see, this isn't his final super gattai form which most definitely, unless Ishiyumi decides to defy convention, will have the lion somewhere which according to Brave Robot legend, will be on his chest unless it becomes a paldron which would be cool.
