I don't care that "Fox-Tanuki Youkai Laser" was what the translation team went with in the English patch of PCB; it's too literal a wording for a kanji compound that already has more applicable meanings. That was one of the points that the Japanese Touhou fanbase laughed at our translators about.

Right, I usually just go with the translations from the Touhou wiki when applicable, but I realize they can be somewhat inaccurate.
Though if the Japanese Touhou fan base finds the time to sit around and laugh at English spell card translations, they really need to get out more. :)

Heh. Well, it'd be a bit hypocritical of me to slam them for that, since I have enough time on my hands to correct people's translations of such. ;)
