Whether you think this would have been the perfect and logical end is up to you (I personally kinda think so), but there's no denying that seeing Guts, who basically came back from Hell, storming the heavenly castle of Falconia while slaying Apostles by the dozen, screaming his former friend's name at the top of his lungs just before entering the throne room, covered in blood and ready to face his foe for the last time, would (or should I say could) have been a truly epic scene.
