... yes, on closer inspection, they do seem to be slightly different shades of yellow.

My guess is the left panel is Yellow's imagination/self-inserting while listening to the story. So in space there are: Yellow (Yellow), Pink (White, who is wearing a pink bunny pyjama) and Brown (Yellow once mistaken mud-covered White for Brown).

The color of the one with the egg on its head matches the color of Victoria's shirt.
