I honestly have mixed feelings with this album. on the one hand, this album has good ideas, varied songs, remixes, PC-98 arrangements and good exclusive tracks. possibly this album is the most varied that ZUN created, which makes it unique. It is also the most admospheric album created by ZUN, it is like listening to a conceptual album, again, this makes it unique.
on the other hand, this album (in my humble opinion) I think it aged badly, As a result, this greatly diminishes the enjoyment to listening it. It is worth mentioning that this is the only album that has the touhou 6 style, again, this makes it unique. I was never a huge fan of the touhou 6 style due to the high tones that some songs can have. I really like th Album presentation , you know, the booklet and the cover, if it is the reissue of 2003! The original 2002 edition, although it is quite similar, the tray does not have drawings and the booklet is only a black and white paper, very amateur. this CD is quite unique for having 2 different editions. I really love the story of honest men, but I hate the story included in the 2003 reissue.
if you want to listen to this album, i suggest listening to the album at 440 Hz, it makes the songs more enjoyable and eliminates much of the high tones. by away, if you have never listened to a ZUN album, I suggest starting somewhere else, as this album can be a bit disappointing, this album has too many unusual elements.
