Odd, this actually unnerves me a bit, and I been cruising through the whole pool and back. (hell, I dont even have a staircase) I wonder if I'm unnerved, because it's the uncertain distance and abstract, as opposed to the surreal detail and realism of the majority of this pool?

I think you're right. Most others are extremely detailed grotesque descriptions while this one is more like... dreamy and abstract.

It'd be worse if the screen blacked out after a second or two, and she had moved one step downwards. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Kind of like a Weeping Angel. Just, you know, one with the ability to control darkness at will. Fun.
Reminds me of The Grudge. There's a scene in the movie that reminds me of this; the Japanese one mind you, since I didn't watch the Hollywood one, can't tell if the same scene exists in that one or not.
