She's drawn in an anime style though which technically puts her more in the quote-unquote "monster girl" genre.
It really doesn't. I know that in some communities, the concept of monster girl has been diluted in recent years to include everything from catgirls to elves to succubi, but here at Danbooru we still play by the old rules. Monster girls are basically humans with body parts replaced by animal/monster parts: centaurs, mermaids, harpies, scyllas, arachnes, etc. Anthropomorphic animals do not count as monster girls no matter what style they're drawn in, and anyone who starts tagging them monster_girl is likely to get smacked by a moderator.
As an aside, we used to have a separate kemono tag to differentiate the anime-style furries, but that got merged into furry years ago because for all intents and purposes they're the same thing, and because there's a toon tag for things drawn in a western style.
