I remember reading a story about a train like this. Each carraige(cart) only has "room" for 1 person. or rather, each cart is made for 1 person. This train typically only tends to pick up lonely or gloomy people.

nah, guys also get in this train too.it wasnt a torture train or anything,it was more of a wallow in despair type of thing. The train is supposed to represent sadness or lonliness of a person. and the only way to get out was to finally grow a backbone or relize that you werent "alone". there was nothing to prevent all the passangers from looking into other carts to see each other but since most of the people on the train are all "i'm all alone" that rarely ever happens.
