CHEN: The cakes are still baking themselves! RAN: Don't forget to peal off the wax after you are done blowing out your cake, Yukari-Sama! YUKARI: . . .
A+ for excellent use of Voltaire, Keo. And I agree with seraphjei, the second cake seals the deal. Hahah, poor Yukari. Maybe they should switch to just being symbolic with the numbers, instead of literal.
To be honest she looks to be in her mid twenties, or whatever the prime of womanhood is. And many ACTUAL women in their mid-late twenties don't look as good as Yukari does.
In short she has the appearence of youth and the mind of a devious older lady; a winning combination.
they probly don't do this many that often, but I have the feeling Ran was feeling particularly cruel and wanted to rub her real age in for some reason.
Chen looks surprised, amazed, and incredibly expectant all at once. I think she wants Yukari to blow them all out with one go. :)
Or she really wants that cake.
I almost think Chen talked Ran and Yukari into having the birthday party for Yukari. Ran's only too happy to oblige her sweet little Chen, and Yukari is....paying the price, a bit. :)
Better blow all those candles out or else you'll be eating a candlewax cake. Unless of course the flames keep jumping from candle to candle seeing as they're so packed together.
arkanis said: at last more than 1400 becaus yukari is older then gensyoko i have seen anotrher one wher they put ligthbulbs on the cake 18 100watt bulbs xD
I LOVE the fact that not other that theres a cake with like a 1000 candles is in front of Yukari, Ran is there holding ANOTHER cake with just as many in it!
This is cruel. Why can't they just give Yukari one cake with 17 candles in it? Then they could think that 1 candle symbolize 100 years! 1000 candles in a cake is just overdoing it you know. Think about the wax that fell on the cake! *gapped*
That meme is way older, actually. They just perfected it by having Kikuko Inoue speak that line. (Kikuko Inoue herself has founded a "club" of eternal 17 years olds. Yukari Tamura is a "member" too.)
