Sol rarely puts effort into fights, and is actually suppressing the majority of his power with the headband he wears. Sol is hundreds of years older than Cloud, and hundreds of times more intelligent since he created his own weapon as well as Ky's sword and Anji's fans (possibly Paracelsus that A.B.A uses as well).

I know Sol very well. I've played Guilty Gear quite a bit before. I've also played FFVII like 4-5 times.
I stand by my decision.

Sephiroth would own Sol.
Cloud could own Sephiroth.
Squall and Cloud could draw.

Sol doesn't need a 'friendship' powerup when he hasn't even shown his full strength yet.

And... Sephiroth, not really >>>>>> Sol. Sol becomes stupidly more powerful with each new game. Just look at GG2 and his personal army, Jesus. Or him smacking down Valentine's second transformation with the limiter on. Soloing Justice would be nothing to him now.

I reckon it'd be a good match, but Cloud, and Final Fantasy in general, are both ridiculously overrated.

Sol would win because he actually has a personality. Cloud's Accent Core "personality" was so phoned in.

Seriously, compare the kill count of their arch-nemesis. Seph killed, what, three people? Justice killed JAPAN.

And Sol has the better theme song anyway.

I would think a character based loosely off of Freddie Mercury would win by default.

just puttin my respects for both of them, this is epic and i think this would be a very VERY close fight.i would go with cloud though because the immense power shown in advent children. now someone could make the argument that he isnt in his advent children cloths but tifa in advent children said that it had only been 2 years but they lost there strength from that fight with sephiroth and that cloud looked like he had regained that strength.with that this cloud could easily be at the end of the game of FFVII and therefor have that strength.
