Has anyone else noticed that the male members of Nijisanji EN seem to be getting more attention than the girls? Is that because the people who want to watch female vtubers are watching Hololive so Nijisanji is attracting those interested in male vtubers?

I wouldn't say that's really entirely it. NijiEN was just the first major corp to bring EN males, which in turn brought in a whole new audience that wasn't into vtubers before. Of course there were male indies and small corps with male talents before Luxiem came out, but none had the same kind of explosive success as them.

Nijisanji in general has had a lot of success with their male vtubers. Seems like they've got most of the female JP audience on lock. I'm really curious to see how well HoloEN's male branch does. NijiEN's male talents turned out to be real popular for a good reason too since a lot of those guys are genuinely hilarious. I really think the EN audience has been thirsting for high quality male vtubers for a while now. Heck, even HoloMinistry turned out to be pretty successful. And that was a one-off joke stream with voice changers.

Vtubing has a very large list of possibilities that just aren't being explored. It's getting stale. Everyone's just doing cute girls, and occasionally cute boys, and it's gonna wear everyone out and crash eventually. Meanwhile, there's so many crazy and unique things you could do with the technology.
Where's the eldritch abomination vtubers, dammit! Sure, we've got Ina, but when are we gonna get biblical with this shit!
Non-standard models like mechs, amorphous, abominations etc absolutely exist, you just gotta dig through about a thousand vtubers that have like 2-digit subcounts.
The question is how many of these odd model vtubers have both the networking ability to gather new viewers and the streaming personality to maintain them. Too many aren't able to cover dead air when streaming alone with a slow chat.
