The chair in this cover is a Willow Chair, as designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh for Cassina. The size discrepancy almost makes the chair seem as a throne, with its crown-like pattern. And with his toys littered about, we see not just the Desmond wealth in display, but his willingness to discard youth to pursuit for maturity. And yet, he can't even fit in the chair, and the pattern in the back can seem like prison bars, depicting how he is imprisoned by his façade.
