I agree with foreign, about how much they watered down Ike from the actual game. He's damn near invincible in the game, and he's bloody fast and freakishly strong too, especially in Radiant Dawn. But I guess they had to do something to make it fair. Though the Black Knight would have been a great addition. But he's basically the same deal as Ike, so yeah. They'd probably make him really really slow.

Also, there is marth and ike so adding a third sword user would be weird, but awesome

Well it's pretty hard to find a Fire Emblem main character that didn't use a sword...Unless you count Erika and Ephriam but there's no reason Nintendo would have put in two new characters
