This makes me sadder that I probably won't be able to get Maryland. E3 has turned out to be an impassable quagmire that's swallowing all of my oil and instant repairs.

You can drop the difficulty. As I always did, to prioritize the chances of finding the girls.

What most people said several times ago. Lowering the difficulty won't make a difference.

I'll probably give it one or two more tries, and drop the difficulty if I can't.
But if I do drop the difficulty, I'll have to run the map a few more times to trigger Last Dance again. And I can't remember if it would mean having to do the debuff stuff a second time.
EDIT: Tried it again and... yeesh. There are two boss-tier consorts in addition to the boss herself, and between the three of them they can soak up an insane amount of damage. And why does the boss have so much HP if she's a destroyer?
It does. Just dropping to medium already makes the day easier by so much. That said, most the time, the damed difficulty would still be up there, even with Medium.
Well, I cut it a little close and I had to resort to actually using Yamato, but I did manage to complete the Extra Operations and secured Maryland.
Good for you. ince the time is really running out. Really calls back to the day of no being conceited. So yeah, I dropped the difficulty and throw away my pride as well as the equipments bonuses. But well, welcoming Maryland takes priority.
