Distinctive features: Ash does not nor has ever had red eyes. Ash also does not have a red vest, black shirt, or black jeans.
Also Ash is nowhere near as cool or as smart as Red.
Only a blind person would mistake this as Ash.

The mistake is made often. We all know Red is cooler and a better pokemon trainer in general, so what's the point in making a big deal on a wrong tag?

And btw; Ash's shirt is actually a dark green. Not black. xD

Because Ash is a weak, fag, poor excuse of trainer, it's insulting for Red be confused with Ash
In other case, Green and Gary are exactly the same guy except for his names, because both of them are great trainers

Probably game. The special version had a more playful personality, while the game version never actually talked, and simply said "YES" or "NO". And he looks very serious. :O

It is not obligatory for people to know how to diffeentiate Red from Ash.
Yes, they are a lot different one from another, but Red is not as widely know, unfortunately.

Spreading knowledge (even anime/game knowledge) is a better choice, instead of criticizing and complaing.

A person who's never really known pokemon much or delve too deep into this would mistake this person as Ash. It doesn't make them blind OR stupid. Geez.
