It's tagged as Tadakichi on the original pixiv page.
I think it's him too. I can't explain what it is, but Frusciante looks different somehow.

I thought Cherry was quite a bit bigger than that.
In the OVA her head is at about the same level as Miyuki's hips, which should make her 2-3 feet tall, while Spitzs are only about 1 foot tall.

I seem to remember Cherry being smaller in the manga. Then, maybe she was a puppy then.

Hmm perhaps she is within the breed. After checking out some of the wiki pics, apparently these dogs can come in larger sizes.

So I guess she is not a Japanese type, but something else.
