Hmm...i'm just not seeing the "Rinnosuke" in this. I mean, in other Touhou-mecha fan-arts, the Mechas actually look like their repsective Touhou. This doesnt looking anything at all like Rinnoske.
It is kind of hard to see, but you can actually make out the zigzag pattern in the middle of the mech as well as the shoulder ribbons (both trademarks of rinnosuke's dresscode). I think it needs color to make it more obvious though.
probably, a majority of the other Mecha-touhous are in color. But i do recall seeing some black and white ones and still being able to tell which characters they were modeled after. Granted, there is always room for "error" as far as fan-art goes. or artist-style. Even if someone were to give mecha Rinnoske's blue colors. I would still think it doesnt "Look" like him. Color is only half the equation. Looking at it again, i can see some bits of Rinnoske in it. But overall, it just doesnt seem very "Rinnoske" at all. at least to me.i mean, if i were to color a mecha red and white, it wouldnt remind me of Reimu unless the Mecha actually looked like Reimu.

I just imagined him being like that guy from Cromartie High School. "Winner By Default." Doesn't know if he's good at fighting because everyone's too scared to fight him.
