This would make a great 90s feel good sports movie. A Japanese woman of extreme height, dies alone and unloved. Comes back as a ghost. Wandering in eternal misery and draining souls.
One day she haunts an old man. Midway through sucking out his soul he says “man you’re one tall girlie! Say, I think you gots what it takes ta make it in da big leagues!”
She has to overcome challenges like learning to work as a team, having to prove herself in a men’s sport, the language barrier, the ethical and spiritual questions that come with the confirmation of undead spirits, curtailing her insatiable hunger for the souls of the damned.
She helps then win the big game, finds her true place in the world, finally makes peace with her now elderly parents, and finally moves on to the afterlife. Showing that it’s NEVER too late!
I’m almost certain I’ve seen the plot of a ghost coming back to life to win the big game, but I don’t know what movie that is.
