It's interesting to see which characters continue to get a steady stream of fan art and which ones wax and wane. Once upon a time girls like Kongou and Haruna dominated the Kancolle pages, easily outshining Fubuki, and that was even when the anime was airing and Fubuki was getting more official spotlight. Now though, those two get barely a page worth in a whole month, while Fubuki is chugging along nicely with more than twice that in the same amount of time.

Really makes me curious as to why though.

Simple character with few defining traits that's easy to add things to to make her be what you want to portray.

(You're probably right, though. Also, a handful of artists, like this one and ergot, go a long way toward keeping her numbers up all by themselves.)
