One of the few attacks that can kill it are dragon type attacks.
Ehm . . . Shedinja has 1 HP and is wasted by anything a Ghost/Bug-type is weak to. That basically means Fire, Flying, Rock, Ghost, and Dark moves. It is also wrecked by bad status (Poison or Burn, for example) and weather effects (Hail, Sandstorm, etc.) -- things that don't deal damage directly. Hell, even Spikes rain on Shedinja's parade.
So yeah, Shedinja is kind of pointless even in-story, unless you are 100% certain it won't get hit with one of the (myriad) things that ruin its day.
But, of course, we still get the gist of the image, and boy do I for one ever sympathize. (Freakin' Red . . . )
wait cant shedinja learn sunny day? also great idea in the picture sadly the charizard is what would ruin shedinjas day for sure, but for the sake of the picture lets say he somehow lost/traded charizard... heck lets say he got espeon back and boy was it a bad move by red...
Wow that's really funny, I was looking at shedinja and wondering how to really cheat it then I remembered an item that makes sure you survive any hit as long as you have full hit points when it strikes you then I thought shedinja always has 1 hit point so he'd be invincible with the item then I looked it up and they already thought of that and have very specific rules on it lol.
Item: Focus Sash Effect: If the user has full hit points before a potentially fatal attack, this allows it to survive the attack with 1 HP. Can also protect against multiple-strike moves such as Fury Attack and Triple Kick, recoil damage, and self-inflicted confusion damage, but not Future Sight and Doom Desire.
If held by Shedinja, no damage will be lost on the first turn only.
Has anyone else noticed that Kotone has had plenty of chances to look at that hole on Shedinja's back? She might even be looking at it now, once she opens her eyes ....
For those who have forgotten it, Shedinja's Pokedex entry states that Shedinja will steal the spirit of anyone who looks into the hole.
