I'm glad? Well no, really, I would totally do this if I had a Crobat... Hell, I'm pretty sure I'd also give it to Zubat, because he's also adorable.
I'd probably force most of my bat-like or flying-type Pokemon down just to see them struggle on land. Or make my water-types that aren't exactly cut out for land duel in gravel.

It's actually split into two parts:
くろい(黒い), "black" + てっきゅう (鉄球), "iron sphere".
The "tsu" in "tetsu" combines with the K-sound to double it, making it "te-(k)-kyu-u" → "tekkyuu".

it halves speed right? a trick room team (which I use frequently) would kill for an Iron ball or two to make them 'faster'.
