Nope. Eventually people will understand that a self-centered egotistical rich guy getting his scummy hands on a major network like Twitter doesn't bode well for freedom of speech.

Still probably better than what Twitter has been doing up till now. Can't be any worse, at least. They were already banning people for having differing opinions.
To be fair to the purpose of the logo, a pigeon has better population distribution and outreach than a mountain bluebird. You find pigeons and other doves everywhere and they cohabit spaces in people-rich environments.

You mean the fact they will charge for the people having the blue check mark?
I don't think that will be bad, considering, some of those went over their head to prove they are right only because they had said checkmark for a brand.
What are your referring to? Verified accounts being a paid subscription instead of a bunch of self absorbed jackasses deciding arbitrarily who gets a stupid checkmark and lording it over everyone else, or the recent statement from Elon that Twitter will still have guidelines on what you can and can't say, like literally any site that isn't 4chan?
Cause in the former case, I consider that an objectively better system, and in the latter case, that's no different from Twitter before Elon bought it. If it really ends up being net worse, then maybe Twitter will finally die.
Do you really want to bet that a billionaire who threatens to pull internet service from war-torn countries because someone was mean to him on social media and calls people "pedos" because they think his imaginary submarine is stupid won't find ways to make an already-bad social media site even worse? We already have proof positive that he makes terrible decisions: he bought twitter, after all.

Looks like you've got the wrong kind of double quotes (not sure if it's visible on your screen, but on mine you have the angled ones), might be a browser or keyboard thing.

Ah thanks for that, was trying to type that on mobile.
