    Oh no, she's gotten lost.

    Ants travel and navigate by leaving pheromone trails as they walked; each ant has similar-but minutely different pheromone compared to other ants, so they could know who's traveling where. If a single ant gets their pheromone trail erased, they will become 'lost' and cannot return to their nest unless they find another ant's trail. In case if there's a lot of lost ants, their pheromone trail will eventually create a death loop for the ants. Sad thing.

    Why must thou hurt me in such a way that I now feel bad for an ant. Maybe the Dalai Lama was right and compassion is a powerful thing, because I feel sad now.
