I've created a few new tags for this. Two are tags for the two new characters, Riko and Roy. We're still missing a lot of basic information on them, like their English names or even official romanizations. Still, I bet we're going to see artwork show up well before we get more info. We can fix the tag names and wiki info later.
I also added a pokemon_sv_(anime) tag. I've left this wiki page completely barebones for the moment.
We'll need to figure out if this should qualify for the pokemon_(anime) tag or not. For now, better to keep using that tag for the new series until then.

Is it not too early to call it the sv anime considering how Journeys for a long while was not correctly tagged since the switch to using english localized terms/name for pokemon

That basically sounds good to me. I was worried about one part of it last night, but don’t think it’s a big deal after sleeping on it.
I’m more anxious about the broader tag: pokemon_(anime). It’s a catch-all for the main anime series, but excludes the miniseries like pokemon_origins. For a long time, that was fine—there‘s only been one contender for main series status for ages. This is different. It’s flat-out a successor to the main series. Should its series tag implicate the main series tag?
Here are some questions I’ve been thinking about:
Does the entire original series need its own specific tag? If so, it might be best to rename pokemon_(anime) to something more specific. (There’s already a pokemon_(classic_anime) tag, which slightly complicates things.) If we do this, it’s better done sooner than later. A bulk tag change will probably miss edge cases involving non-obvious crossovers. (Say, someone makes fanart of Riko and Roy visiting Pinkan Island.)
Do we want an umbrella tag for all the Pokemon anime series? If so, should we use pokemon_(anime) as that tag? If so, what about the miniseries and side series? Should they be included, or should it be a main anime only tag? Alternatively, if we give the entire original series into its own separate tag, we can wait for years until we need to decide on this question. (Which might be better. We can see if Riko and Roy remain main characters for 20 years or 2.)
If we don’t use an all-Pokemon-anime umbrella tag, will taggers know that pokemon_sv_(anime) shouldn’t use the current pokemon_(anime) tag? This is the only thing I’m hesitant about regarding the current pokemon_sv_(anime) tag. It follows the same pattern as previous tags, but breaks it for the parent tag. It’s counter-unintuitive. However, after sleeping on it, I don’t think it’s a big deal. We can wait until we have a localized name for the series.
